The food was lovely but it truly is the staff that make this place. Back in my car he wish me a nice day and waved as i drove away. A different receptionist came over to say hello, she was very polite and sweet, and soonafter the original reception gent came over and offered to walk me back to my car whenever i was ready, which he did. She came to clear my plates and we got to chatting, she was very polite and funny and when i was finished she walked me back out to the foyer so i could have a sit on the sofas. She brought my food over (delicious incidentally!), and left me to eat, checking on me only one (perfect, i hate being nagged when eating!). He pulled out the chair for me and propped up my crutches, passed me my bag and asked the member of bar staff to bring me over a complimentary hot drink as I was soaked! The bar staff delivered my drink very quickly and took my lunch order from my table. He chatted away very politely to the door, held it open for me and continued walking at my slow pace, through reception and all the way up to the paragon without even batting an eye at me putting him out of his way. He then helped me out of my car and carried my bag so I could use both my crutches. Had difficulty parking (because of the rain/me, not the hotel!) and a member of reception staff popped out in the rain within about three minutes, but probably as soon as they noticed me, and waved me back into my space.
